— արտաքոյ, to lie abroad, out of doors;
— բացօթեայ, ընդ աստեղօք, to sleep in the open air, to lie under the canopy of heaven;
— աչօք բացօք, to sleep like a hare;
— ի տէր, to go to sleep in Jesus, to rest in God;
— ի հող մահու, to sleep the sleep that knows no waking;
— ընդ հարս իւր, to sleep with one's fathers.
